Bodo Korsig

LIMITS

Bodo Korsig’s œuvre comprises painting, sculpture and installations as well as the large-format woodcuts presented here in this catalogue.
The motifs of his pictures and reliefs frequently look like blown-up microscopic creatures or organic structures; they seem at once both decorative and menacing, being dimensioned in such a way that the viewer can scarcely escape their impact. Korsig, whose works have long contained written elements, has for some time now concerned himself with the art of bookmaking, creating three-dimensional book objects of great beauty.
