The exhibition and catalogue present works by seven women who work in the field of conceptual sculpture, with diverse approaches to sculpture and installation while still demonstrating a broad range of aspects in common. In addition to situative and process-focused works that clearly display the process of their production, other works are presented that are characterised by careful research into materials and found objects as well as into everyday materials.
The artists – some created works especially for Museum Morsbroich, others adapted existing works – examine issues like the presentation, contextualisation and decontextualisation of space.
