Erich Lindenberg

Catalogue of the Erich Lindenberg Kunststiftung

The painter Erich Lindenberg left a body of work that cannot fail to impress in terms of both content and technique. In this catalogue, several authors of renown explore the periods the artist passed through from the early shadow paintings, which like the entire oeuvre are a balancing act between figuration and abstraction, the supine figures inspired by a visit to Pompeii, the archaic-looking skulls and existentialist space pictures to the sitting and standing figures remarkable above all for their splendidly saturated colours.

The catalogue, which is the first to offer a representative overview of Erich Lindenberg’s entire oeuvre, brings together the nearly one thousand works that are now in the possession of the Erich Lindenberg Kunststiftung.
