1993 – 2018 Professor of Sculpture, Installation and Art in Public Space at the Faculty of Art and Design, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Germany
2001 – 2011 Founder and Director of the English-language MFA-Program: “Public Art and New Artistic Strategies” at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. In 2006 the program was named one of the “Top 10 International Master’s Degree Courses Made in Germany” by the „Stifterverband der Deutschen Wissenschaft“ and the DAAD. 4-year international guest professorship “Ré Soupault”, sponsored by the DAAD awarded in the same year.
2006 “Artist-in-Residence” at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee: Realization of “Community Weaving”, an interactive and site-specific sculpture for the Peck School of the Arts.
1992 – 1993 Guest professor, Art Academy in Muenster
1990 – 1991 Grant to work, National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) USA
