Kinki Texas
1000 Pawnees are not enough
The first publishing house publication dedicated to the artist Kinki Texas presents works dating from 2009 to 2013 and provides a comprehensive insight into the Kinki Texas Space. This world is populated by absurd figures such as Knights of the Grail, zombie cowboys, clones and noble cannibals. Using a fragile and fragmented visual language, Kinki Texas repeatedly presents what appear to be historic figures in contemporary contexts. Various legends, both subtle and garish, complement the overlapping motifs in the visual space in his drawings and large-scale paintings. This publication includes numerous illustrations, followed by a detailed text and an interview with the artist.
