Gunther Stilling
Sculptor
The human being is the focus of the sculptural work of Gunther Stilling. His works reference his exposure to war, terror and the abuse of power. Fully committed to the humanist tradition, Stilling poses questions relating to timelessness and meaning and reminds us of our ethical and cultural responsibility.
On the occasion of his 70th birthday, the Städtische Museen Heilbronn commemorated the artist with a retrospective exhibition. This was accompanied by a catalogue, which traces the arc from his early, smaller sculptural works to his current sculptures, some of which are large-scale works. This catalogue also presents a selection of his larger works on public display.
