Sabine Wewer
White Gold
"White Gold" provides an insight into the multi-layered work of artist Sabine Wewer. The artist creates mystical visual worlds containing a mix of the real and the fictitious; motifs from literature, film and music mingle with set pieces from foreign cultures, science, surrealism and abstract art. Sabine Wewer is interested in recording the fleeting moment of spiritual rapture and mind expansion in her paintings. She has also been working intensively with the medium of film for more than two years.
The catalogue accompanying the exhibition of the same name in Syker Vorwerk presents mainly the artist's most recent works.
