Franziska Rutishauser
2006-2014
This catalogue provides an insight into Franziska Rutishauser's current art practice. The Swiss artist works with painting, photography and drawing. The boundaries between the various art forms are often blurred: some of her hyperrealistic paintings look like photographs for example. Rutishauser challenges us to look more closely, analyse the process of seeing and deal with the abstraction of the representational world. Her painting deals with the magical beauty of the visible and with unsettling perception.
The catalogue also features essays written by art historians Dr. Margit im Schlaa and Michael Nungesser.
