Bertold Stallmach
Swiss video and installation artist Bertold Stallmach is interested in the conditions of human existence in its psychological, social, political and material dimensions. This monograph is his first comprehensive publication. It presents five projects undertaken by the young artist, featuring close-ups, film stills, drawings and short project essays. A comic, specially designed for this publication, spans a definitional context for each project description, always on the frontier between absurdity and seriousness, which accounts for the quality of his entire artistic practice.
