FRISCH AUS BERLIN offers insights into an exceptional collection. The current publication presents over fifty years of a passion for collecting from 1958 to 2014 by Dr Harald and Kornelia Frisch from Berlin. Their works are introduced in constant dialogue with the artists: paintings, works on paper, drawings and sculptures. A frenzy of expressive colour on the one hand, a highly reserved, rather objective style critical of society on the other – both forms of representation intimate the creative diversity of a storyline, of exposure, one that approaches a genuine discovery or rediscovery.
