Through her art Jeanno Gaussi researches cultural identity and aspects of memory. Her films, videos, photographs, and installations examine indeterminate spaces and times, while embodying the personal and social dynamics of diaspora. Frequently, the artist develops projects in close relation to the place where they arise. Gaussi’s own multicultural background has strongly influenced her practice of art, although her interest goes beyond national boundaries and categorizations.
