Stefanie Schwedes

The photographic works that the artist Stefanie Schwedes has been creating since 2011 open up a new perspective on a familiar and established theme: the forest and contemplation of nature. The boundaries between virtuality and reality are increasingly dissolving. The relationship of human beings to nature is changing just as greatly, with it now no longer possible to reverse the impact of human beings and their culture on the earth. With her works, Stefanie Schwedes reacts to this state with a keen sensitivity for form and structure. The book presents in part unpublished works that add aesthetic as well as multilayered statements to the loud and in the meantime globalized discussion.
