Miriam Vlaming
Human Nature
From her early creative period until today, Miriam Vlaming (*1971) has occupied herself with the symbiosis of human and nature. While examining the relationships between human beings and natural and urban living environments, Vlaming quite frequently makes her figures disappear into their surroundings or emerge from them. HUMAN NATURE reflects Vlaming’s past creative years, during which the artist has steadily developed into a visual anthropologist. The publication discusses the topic of human beings in harmony in nature, which is so central for Vlaming, as well as human nature itself.
