David Jablonowski
Hype Cycles
With his sculptural arrangements, David Jablonowski examines the mechanisms of communication and language in visual culture. With the help of sculptures, videos, and installations, he focuses attention on language as a technically reproducible code and aesthetic production in the mediation of information. The catalogue presents David Jablonowski’s most recent work on the occasion of his solo exhibition at the Kunsthalle Lingen. It comprises numerous installation views of works from 2009 to 2015, a text by Oriane Durand in which she sheds light on the relationship between “contrast and cohabitation” in Jablonowski’s oeuvre, as well as a conversation between Meike Behm and the artist.
