Antje Hain
Sehnsucht und Leidenschaft
In her almost painterly photographs, Antje Hain focuses on the central aesthetic of body and nature. Her cleverly staged works oscillate between innocent tenderness and theatrical eroticism. At the same time, her portraits of women are also archetypes of femininity as well as contemporary portraits of women. In her Lappenbilder, in contrast, Hain shows dramatically designed cloth dancing in the wind in the middle of natural landscapes. The play between the visible and the concealed, between reality and illusion, assumes a central role in this and challenges the viewer. The publication brings together these different thematic areas in Antje Hain’s creative oeuvre, providing a broad insight.
