Esra Oezen

Esra Oezen (* 1986), winner of the Kunstpreis (art prize) of the Lüneburgischer Landschaftsverband in 2016/2017, makes masterful use of the various media of visual art. Her works are characterized by a reduced aesthetic that opens up a multilayered cosmos as a result of their poetic titles and simultaneously offer humorous access. The artist’s particular affinity for the printed, the pictured, and the empty medium frequently comes to light in the (pictorial) content of her works. Books and photography are recurring objects—both analogue and visual. In the publication, Esra Oezen presents her new work in the exhibition spaces of the Künstlerhaus Meinersen as well as other works created since 2012.
