Harald Braun
Speech Spaces, Woolen Blankets and Concrete
The German artist Harald Braun (1959 born in Offenburg/Baden) developed the associative speech as an independent art form. Braun transformed this verbal artwork into an autonomous artistic language in form of outsized installations shaped by printed plastic cloth: so-called "Speech Spaces”.
Sources and motives, at first sight appearing absolutely heterogeneous, merge into an "ars combinatoria” combined with distinctive charm and humour. This combination is based on Braun’s "Icons of Concrete”, peculiar hybrids formed by textiles and concrete.
