4–3–2–1 Darmstadt
Eine Kunsttopografie
The catalog is being published to accompany the exhibition 4–3–2–1 Darmstadt in the comprehensively renovated exhibition hall at Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt, an artist’s colony and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Outstanding paintings, sculptures, prints, photographs, and video art from Darmstadt’s Municipal Art Collection shed light on the city’s history and showcase some of the extraordinary individuals who have lived in the city or are currently involved in the local arts scene. The multifaceted exhibition on the artistic topography of Darmstadt focuses on several works by female artists that have never before been exhibited. This catalog invites the reader on a journey through 200 years of cultural heritage in Darmstadt and the surrounding region.
