Atemwege
In two series of photographic portraits, four students from the Design department of the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences document the lives of eight people with cystic fibrosis.
Initially a university assignment, this project took on great emotional import for the students who addressed the issue with sensitivity and empathy, while retaining the necessary professional detachment.
This book is thus a contemporary social documentation, and includes an essay about the illness and the eight people portrayed. There is also short glossary giving medical information and explaining terminology.
