Neuer Konstruktivismus
An examination and investigation of the groundbreaking forms of expression of the beginning of the 20th century can be observed in painting, sculpture and drawing. Constructivism and geometric abstraction in particular are used as references in works using basic geometric elements like the triangle, square and circle, or the generation of defined constructive structures.
This is not, however, a regressive revival of modernist forms. Instead, artists like Markus Amm (*1969 Stuttgart), Florian Baudrexel (*1968 Munich), Dieter Detzner (*1970 Aalen), Karsten Konrad (*1962 Würzburg), Simon Dybbroe Møller (*1976 Aarhus) and Bernd Ribbeck (*1974 Cologne) utilise this analysis of classis avant-garde art in order to expand the potential of their own respective media.
