Rainer Fetting

“The title of this exhibition ‘Waters’ is, I think, very appropriate for Rainer. Not only was he born and raised in Wilhelmshaven by the North Sea, but also in all the years that I have known him, I have noticed that water and being near water is the one thing that consistently rejuvenates and restores him when his energy is depleted.
Rainer works constantly, even when he is away on holiday supposedly recovering from a hectic schedule. These holidays usually find him near water, whether Sylt or the Canary Islands, Miami or even New York City (Hudson piers), and these locations become the subject of paintings, watercolors and photographs.
