Eckart Hahn — Katrin Bremermann
Einsichten
Contrasts, formal elements and images which both connect and stand in contrast to each other: these are aspects which Katrin Bremermann (born 1965 in Bremen) investigates in her work. How much does the person of today perceive, and what does he actually take on board in the age of current travel-inundation. Te various infuences on daily perception are altered by personal experience. It is at this point that the artist begins her research into the various depictive forms of her reality.
Eckart Hahn (born 1971 in Freiburg/Breisgau) is an uncannily perfect painter, who entirely in accordance with tradition has a complete mastery of his handwork. Te central-perspective illusionism in his pictures can hardly prevent us from recognizing his art as being a product of visual inventions from the deepest interior of his spirit. The collage-like combination of spaces and objects and the processes which at frst glance appear to evade all rational understanding, which appear in these pictures, belong to the expression of this uncanniness.
