Dieter Mammel

A total of 6 paintings have been made by the author for the Collector's Edition. Each one will be shipped with the book "Privacy" as one edition. The paintings titled "Blueberry Eye" (ink on canvas, 32 x 23 cm) are signed and numbered by the artist. Much of what Dieter Mammel tries to express in the unmistakable visual language that he uses in his painting, his stage designs, his films – and which must be seen as a courageous move on his part – is embarrassingly private, improperly intimate. The stories and dramas in his life remind us of our own fears, aspirations and fantasies.
