Ernesto Tatafiore
Collector’s Edition
A total of 15 copies of this Collector’s Edition have been published. The drawings are signed and numbered by the artist. Each edition consists of one drawing and the accompanying book Futuristi.
As lyrical idealistic anarchists armed with hats, suits, and bow ties, the Futurists geared up to do battle in the early 20th century in Italy against a society of aesthetic apathy, complacency, and stagnation. In his compositions, the Italian artist Ernesto Tatafiore takes up the vibrantly colorful dynamics of Futurism, countering motorized “Combat Machines” with the provocative poetry of the avant-gardists and contrasting “Combat Vests” and “Combat Ties” with “Antipodes”.
