Susanne Pomrehn

Susanne Pomrehn collects photographs on specific themes either taken from personal and public archives, from the Internet or creates her own. The artist significantly modifies these pictures and crops, rotates, folds and glues them to create surprising empty spaces, new arrangements and associations. Thus thanks to the spatial nature of the collection of photographs, cropped photo-objects are created as well as installative sculptures; these oscillate between the three-dimensionality of the modified photographs and their arrangement within the space. Space for associations and imagination is integrated into this many-layered game with models of the world.
