Tatsuhiko Yokoo

In his work, Japanese painter Tatsuhiko Yokoo moves around the canvas, wildly spilling colour onto the surface, as if in an ecstasy He calls the resulting pictures Kaze (Wind). Yokoo’s inspiration for his painting comes from a deep affinity with the natural and spiritual world and from his exposure to Far Eastern and Western philosophy and art in Zen meditation.
