Tamara Grcic

Since 2010, an internationally renowned artist has created a contemporary sculpture each year for Roßsmarkt, a square in Frankfurt’s city centre. Young citizens decide on the work of art to be displayed. In 2011, the ROSSMARKT3 community chose the photographer, film maker and installation artist Tamara Grcic and this catalogue documents her outstanding work.
The theme of her mobile sound sculpture is rhythm and time and, like a clock tower, brings a ticking sound back to Roßmarkt, which now has a point of interest for passers by. The well-chosen “display” adds a new identity to the broad square, making it a place of contemplation and consciousness.
