Reflection and Empathy
The artists presented focus on the contexts directly surrounding art. They investigate the interweaving of art and historiography, illustrate the influence of institutions and present their own, contemporary understanding of roles. The approaches all have in common the fact that reflections do not result in dispassionate and reserved observations. Instead, the individual works are linked by their conceptual clarity and emotional charge.
Artist biographies, institutional profiles and existing works are understood as incomplete processes that form the foundation for a way of thinking within the infinite spaces of possibility.
