This catalogue accompanies the exhibition of the same name that took place in Dortmunder U. The participants – all of them teachers on the art and art history programme at TU Dortmund – planned it themselves. To this extent, it is a partnership model, a joint negotiation of emphases and directions. It is a meeting of diverse artistic positions: figurative painting and drawing by Bettina van Haaren, performance and video by Ursula Bertram, photography by Felix Dobbert and abstract painting by Jan Kolata.
The publication is a thrilling articulation of explosive interfaces but also of areas of contact that illuminate coherence between opposing positions.
