Richard Dunn (1944) born Sydney, who studied architecture then painting at the Royal College of Art, lived for ten years in London and Paris, and New York, as P.S.1 Fellow. He was Director / Professor at Sydney College of the Arts until 2011. Richard Dunn lived for extended periods in Germany, exhibiting first at daadgalerie Berlin, and Edinburgh. He was Visiting Professor, Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo, Artist-in-Residence, Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz, Guest-professor, Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, Artist-in-Residence, Sanskriti Kendra, New Delhi, External Examiner for Art, Space and Nature at Edinburgh College of Art. Dunn participated in five international Biennales, solo Museum exhibitions in Chemnitz, Sydney and Melbourne and numerous solo and group museum exhibitions in Australia, Europe, particularly Germany, and in Poland, Scotland, Scandinavia, USA, Japan, India and South East Asia.
