since 1959 Art critic (for Volksblatt and Volksstimme, here under the pseudonym Georg Hart)
since 1962 Representative of the object and action art, 3-day walling with Hermann Nitsch and Otto Muehl, publication of the manifesto "Blutorgel"
1964 Order of the municipality of Vienna for 16 Sgraffito surfaces for an urban residential building in Vienna
1967 Participation with Walter Pichler and Richard Kriesche at the Jeunes Artistes Biennale in Paris
1972 Austrian State Prize for Graphics
since 1972 Professor at the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna
since 1985 Professor of a master class for painting
since 1999 Director of the Institute of Fine Arts
