Ivan Kyncl

1953 born Prague 
1968 politicised early in life following the suppression of the Prague Spring
 1972 father is arrested as a result of which Kyncl is denied a university education; begins his photographic career
during the 1970s, documenting the Czech civil rights movement in his photographs
1980 emigrates to London where he has a successful career as a renowned theatre photographer
2004 dies in London
