born in Austria in 1967
On his travels through Europe, Africa, Cuba, India, Nepal, and Mexico, the photographer created intensive photo series that are sustained in particular by his emphatic visual vocabulary. In the past years, Mario Marino’s works have been exhibited nationally and internationally in numerous galleries and museums, including in Amsterdam, Basel, Beijing, Berlin, Bristol, Brussels, Dubai, Edinburgh, Essen, Geneva, Cologne, Miami, and Munich. Mario Marino’s and his photographs have also been written about in a wide range of national and international publications: among them, Artnet, the British Journal of Photography, Daily Photo News, the Evening Standard, The Washington Post, The Guardian, Profi Foto, Photo Zoom Magazine, The Independent, Die Welt, and Vogue.
Lives and works as a freelance photographer in Germany.
