Henry Moore

The English sculptor Henry Moore (1898-1986) has examined the relationship between humanity and nature more intensively than almost any other twentieth-century artist. Moore’s artistic imagination brought forth new structures, based around existing natural shapes (tree trunks, bones, mussels, elephant skulls, etc.), and transformed these into meaningful contemporary on nature.
