Terje Nicolaisen (*1964 Drammen, Norway, based in Oslo, Norway) received his education at the Academy of Fine Art (KHIB), Bergen, Norway, and the Academy of Fine Art (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway. He has since exhibited extensively in Norway and abroad. Nicolaisen receives a permanent grant from the Norwegian government and has throughout his career received several awards for his work and projects. He has produced an extensive archive of unique artists’ books with more than five hundred entries. In addition to his work in the visual arts, Nicolaisen has also published three alternative music albums. He is a frequent guest lecturer at schools including The Oslo School of Architecture, Oslo National Academy of Arts and Bergen Academy of Arts and Design.
