This catalogue follows the traces left by the artworks which were created by Wolfgang Weileder  as part of his Jetty Project. The aim of the project was to explore the links between art and space and to stimulate debates about different concepts of sustainability. Dunston Staithes is a secluded monument that was once used for loading coal onto ships. This impressive timber construction provides the backdrop for Weileder‘s Jetty artworks. The multi-layered nature of his art is explored in these images and texts; it has started a conversation involving architects, artists and social scientists, and provides an opportunity to see how art can catalyze the sustainable regeneration of a city.
