Ludwigshafen am Rhein is a melting pot of many nations. The artist Tatjana Utz has selected 17 young immigrants, interviewing and portraying them in a complex, multi-media project, asking personal and socially relevant questions about values, home, identity, nationality, future plans and experiences.
The book documents the exhibition in Kunstverein Ludwigshafen; here in an interactive spatial collage, a social study and an art project merge. Interviews with the young people and a film allow us to experience different aspects of the project. Contemporary art meets the issue of immigration -- a project relevant to every single town and city in Germany.
