Works held by the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden are renowned the world over. Ethiopian guest curator Meskerem Assegued, who curated Curvature of Events, brings her point of view to bear on the collection, resulting in new and unexpected interpretations. Assegued invited the film makers Gunter Deller, Barbara Lubich and Abel Tilahun to each look at eight works from earlier eras with a contemporary perspective. The unbiased transformation of forms, impressions and associations have given rise to fresh artistic approaches.
