Monograph / Selected Works 2000-2017. The multidisciplinary artist David Fried *(1962) explores the qualities of invisible and complex dynamic relationships in the form of minimalistic images and objects. The inherent flexible qualities of interdependent systems operating far-from-equilibrium found in nature and social endeavor, are echoed throughout his sculptural, photographic and interactive works. Fried explores the space between the lingering anachronism of the clockwork world view and the vangarde of progressive systems-thinking on global themes such as ecology, biology, sociology, communication and personal belief systems.
