Digitale Ensembles in der künstlerischen Lehre provides insights into the five-year project currently underway at Berlin’s University of the Arts: InKüLe – Innovationen für die Künstlerische Lehre. This volume combines cultural-historical and media theory considerations with artistic perspectives on art and the digital age. Documented teaching scenarios and workshops illustrate the various ways in which digital formats challenge and enrich artistic practices and teaching methods. The focus is on specially developed toolkits for capturing, VR/AR, streaming, and prototyping. Practical examples of their use demonstrate their creative potential and provide impetus for the Integration of these toolkits into teaching and research. Featuring contributions from the fields of architecture and urban planning, sound art, dance, performance, composition, fashion design, theater, and musicology, as well as the interdisciplinary general studies course, the views of both teaching staff and students are afforded equal importance. Together, they reveal how digitality not only supplies tools but can also create new teaching and learning cultures with a collaborative, experimental, and innovative approach.
