Gilta Jansen’s installations and settings seem to tell a story, while also puzzling us. The artist transforms found objects – natural and artificial ones – into landscape installations. Glittering foil, wooden and metallic objects, paper and plastic are combined in exciting relationships. Natural associations such as memories are summoned up, giving rise to moments that can be both familiar and disconcerting . This publication features new works, created for the art prize show at Kunstverein Springhornhof, and other work since 2009.
