Crumbling industrial buildings from the Wilhelmine Period and overgrown wastelands along the Spree River suggest that the Berlin city district of Schöneweide once experienced a different present. Today, the numerous abandoned sites provide a place for many young people to meet undisturbed. Over three years, Janina Wick established contact with such young people and visited and photographed them again and again. Along with them, she explored the abandoned sites and also captured the changes there in photos. This book presents her perceptive observations.
