The basis for the comprehensive film project Liquid Identities by Thomas Henke is the long-term cooperation of the media artist with individuals and small groups of young people living in the Rhine-Main region in diverse social and cultural contexts.
The young people document themselves – often over several years – with a subjective camera view of moments in their lives. They present their everyday lives, at school, in their free time, their friendships and romances, the places where they live, what is most important to them and their more important values. This has resulted in an impressive kaleidoscope. Liquid Identities (Volumes IV–VII) follows on the from the 2008 publication Liquid Identities (Volumes I–II), ISBN 978-3-86678-203-7.
