Gerwald Rockenschaub is one of the most versatile artists working today. His art is both cool and sensual, located in the interface between painting, multimedia, DJing, design and architecture. Rockenschaub created a 70-metre-long and 11-metre high wall that is covered with 385 colour “subjects” for the monumental hall of Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg. “Gerwald Rockenschaub. multidial” is a monument to today’s multi-option society, while continuing the series of the large hall projects begun by Olafur Eliasson, Douglas Gordon and James Turrell, documented for the first time in this publication.
