In his poetic monochrome compositions, Jan Paul Evers pursues the technical
and creative possibilities of photography. Assembling his own as well as found artwork in the darkroom , he uses both classic and experimental techniques to coax new objects and spatial situations from the medium. In so doing, he not only focuses on the history and technique of photography; in view of the complete availablility of images today, his one-off reations pose the question of how the medium itself should be handled.
