Sebastian Jung: Winzerla
Art as a Search for Clues in the Shadow of the NSU
Sebastian Jung grew up in Winzerla in Jena, in the same high-density housing development which became famous as the original home of three members of the right-wing terrorist organisation, the National Socialist Underground (NSU): Mundlos, Böhnhardt and Zschäpe. In this book, Sebastian Jung conducts an artistic search for clues based on his memories of Winzerla in the 1990s. He combines photos and drawings, sculptures and texts as he circles around the hazy attitude towards life in his childhood: "Something isn't quite right". He juxtaposes the results of his research with drawings of the NSU trial, which he produced at the trial in 2014.
