The catalogue accompanying this exhibition deals with the ever-decreasing number of boundaries between nature and artificiality. Using a variety of media (video, sculpture, drawing, photography and painting), five international artists explore the phenomenon of life and its technical manipulability.
The hope for cures for fatal diseases is countered by bleak and fearful visions of a world shaped by bio-industry. The latest developments in biotechnology and gene technology in particular have permanently changed our view of the natural basis of life.

Artists (among others):
Pauline Curier Jardin, Bea Emsbach, Simone Haack, Gustavo Lacerda, Iris Schieferstein
