PALMS. Visions of the good life. A dream, a hope, an escape from everyday life. With candles and ashtrays in the shape of palms or a glitter palm in an ice-cream sundae, we take a bit of it home—an admission that we dream a dream of great happiness, combined with a genial petty bourgeois mentality.

The Collection

Collection Catalogue for the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart
In honour of its tenth anniversary in 2015, the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart  is producing a new collection catalogue. The catalogue, sponsored by Freunde des Kunstmuseums Stuttgart e.V. (friends of the museum), will provide an overview in words and images of the artists in the collection: Adolf Hölzel, Otto Dix, Willi Baumeister, Dieter Roth and Joseph Kosuth are now the focus of international attention. The catalogue will also focus on Concept Art and Concrete Art, featuring the works of Camille Graeser, Bridget Riley, Karin Sander and others. Introductory texts on art-historical phenomena will also highlight the context and focus of the collection.
