Axel Grünewald looks at the edges of the present. For more than five years, he has repeatedly traveled through the coastal regions of Morocco and southern Spain, to the continental border between Europe and Africa.

Heinz and Marianne Ebers Foundation

A Collection With Stature

With the inauguration of the Heinz and Marianne Ebers Foundation on 24th October 1997, the Kunstmuseen Krefeld received a purchasing power that was quite unique in its history. Never before has such a broad and enduring fund been presented by one sole source, and ensured at a time when public budgets are getting tight that the Kunstmuseen Krefeld can maintain their position among the numerous art museums in the Rhenish landscape. In the now fourteen years since the Foundation was set up, the collection has grown to include 53 works.
Now for the first time this publication will show a representative cross-section of the collection of the Ebers Foundation, that holdings extend across all the genres of art, allowing painting, sculpture, drawings, photography and video.
