The Schaubühne in Berlin is one of the leading German-language theaters. Six internationally acclaimed photographers of our time occupied themselves artistically with the Schaubühne’s ensemble of actors.

Helga Schmidhuber

Does Voodoo work?
This opulent artist's book transports the reader into Helga Schmidhuber's very unique cosmos and features current examples of her multi-layered work. This catalogue is published to coincide with her exhibition of the same name in Museum Wiesbaden, in which she assembles a wide variety of objects around a stuffed Java tiger from the natural history collection. The objects include large-scale paintings, miniatures on book covers, collages, animals' skulls, posters and bizarre found objects from her own collection.  Schmidhuber blurs the boundaries between natural and cultural history by combining together a huge variety of media and materials.
